Overseas Treatments

Overseas treatments

General introduction

Women or couples who are living abroad often search for medical advice and treatment under my supervision. This might seem (at first) like a difficult and complicated process, yet from my experience it can be a simple one that produces successful results.
To begin this process, I ask for your assistance in communicating all the relevant medical information that may be important to your case, as well as any other pertinent factors or information. The best way to get this process started is by completing the attached form and attaching all of your recent tests results (within the last 6 months, if applicable). The list of required tests can be found in the second attached file. For the convenience and thoroughness of our correspondence, please try to keep all emails within the same thread.
After viewing the form you filled out and the material attached, I can then suggest treatment plan. If treatment is expected to be carried out in Israel, then your treatment plan will be sent to you so we can discuss it and start the planning process. You will be expected to be in Israel for roughly 2 weeks for during your treatment. If you have relatives in Israel, they can assist with the technical matters (forms, etc) as well as purchasing all necessary medications. If you are not married, you will need to provide a parenthood sharing official document.

The estimated costs are dependent on whether you have medical
insurance (HMO = kupat holim) in Israel or not: The Consultation fee ranges from 400-1000$ according to each specific case, 400$ for a fertility cycle (not including medications), and 800-1200$ for an IVF/ICSI cycle (not including medications). Medication costs depend on the specific treatment plan and on your HMO policy. If you do not have HMO coverage in Israel, the above fees still apply in addition to the cost of an IVF/ICSI cycle in the hospital and lab, around 5000$. If you do have insurance, it will be covered by your HMO and you will be expected to pay a portion according to your specific medical insurance’s (kupat holim) policy.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any further questions you might have.

Good luck!
Sincerely, Itai Bar-Hava, MD
